2015 Jaguar XK Final Fifty Edition

After a run that spanned nearly two decades, Jaguar has decided to put an end to the production of their XK model, but the luxury automaker has decided to send the sporty two-door out in style. Jaguar will be producing the 2015 Jaguar XK Final Fifty Edition, which will be a special edition model of the XK that will be limited to--yeah, you guessed it--50 units. As the production is so limited, it's unlikely that we will ever see one of the Final Fifty Editions here in Tinley Park IL, but we're still pretty excited about the model.

If you're familiar with the Jaguar XK, you likely know that the model was released as a coupe as well as a convertible. For that reason, the Final Fifty Edition will also get both of the models. The automaker will produce 25 coupes and 25 convertibles, but regardless of body style, the special edition XK models will be covered in Ultimate Black paint and outfitted with Ivory white interiors. For the 25 droptop models, black cloth will be used on the roofs.

In addition to the color sequence, the XK Final Fifty Edition will take on a few features that are exclusive to the special edition model. That includes a unique hood, 20-inch wheels, a rear wing, side sill extensions, and a rear diffuser on the outside, and a number of luxurious features on the inside. As with many other special edition models, the XK Final Fifty comes with one-of-a-kind badging as well as seats and sills that have the Final Fifty designation and distinguish the model from other versions of the XK.

It's worth noting that this is not the first time that Jaguar has sent a model off in this style. Nearly four decades ago, the automaker cut the E-Type from their production schedule and to bid adieu to the roadster Jaguar made up 50 special edition models--49 which were outfitted with black and cinnamon trim and one which featured a British Racing Green color. As you can imagine, all 50 of those models are extremely collectible today.

There is a good chance that the 2015 Jaguar XK Final Fifty Edition will achieve the same amount of popularity as the limited E-Type models, and if that's the case, all 50 of the Final Fifty Edition models will be snatched up before they even roll off the assembly line. For that reason the only chance that we will probably have to see the final version of the 2015 Jaguar XK is in pictures. If you ever come across one, however, be sure to send us a picture on our Facebook page.
